Bonding Ceramic-to-Ceramic and Ceramic-to-Metal
RocCera has the expertise in ceramic-to-metal and ceramic-to-ceramic bonding utilizing precision brazing, heat shrinking and space-age epoxy bonding processes. Bonding offers a greater design flexibility as well as cost savings. In many instances a metal component prone to wear and corrosion can be redesigned such a way that the critical surface area is bonded with a wear resistant ceramic part.
RocCera will work with the customer to select the bonding process depending on the application. For low temperature applications epoxy bonding may be sufficient. If the component is subjected to higher temperature and/or higher shear stress, brazing may be the best alternative. We can also provide our patented heat shrinking process to bond ceramic to metal using our Induction heating unit. Snow plow shoes with ceramic inserts are assembled by heat shrinking process in less than 2 minutes.
Bonding Rubber to Metal
Do your specifications require bonding rubber or polyurethane to a metal substrate? Twenty years ago the subject was regarded as a ‘black art’. Now with our advanced technology we can produce a uniform, high quality product that is free from failure.
